Date and Start Times/Registration
Sunday July 19th at Camp Alexander near Emporia, KS
Begginer men 34 and under will begin at 11am sharp. All other beginners (and Juniors) will start in one minute intervals following. Expert, Sport, and SS will begin at 12:30. Depending on field size all experts will start together. However, you will only be scored within your age group. If field sizes are large, then we may begin experts in time intervals as well. All Sport and SS will follow in 1 minute intervals. Registration for all classes will begin at 9am. Registration closes for beginners/juniors at 10:45am and for experts/sport/ss at 12:15pm. Riders meeting for beg/juniors at 10:45 and experts/sport/ss at 12:15pm.

Directions

coming from I-35 North: get off at exit 135 and turn right. At the stop sign turn left. You will only go about a 1/4 mile and there will be signs marking the corner to get to the trail. (There is also a sign for Camp Alexander)

coming from the South/Wichita area: take 6th avenue going East all the way through Emporia. This will turn into Hgwy 50, continue following for a couple miles until you see the sign for Camp Alexander. (race day will also have signage indicating race)

Trail:
Trail will consist of approximately 4miles of single track (~75% single and 25% double) and a couple miles of gravel. SS'ers- the trail is tight and twisty (lot's of short, but very steep climbs) yet the gravel is gentle rollers, much deliberation will be needed in gear selection.

Notes

This race is being put on by a couple racers (with tons of support from High Gear of Emporia - visit ridehighgear.com!) who felt the need for a local race. But, fear not, this will not be some ram sham gathering thrown together last minute. A lot of planning and effort is going into preparing the trails for a great event. Not to mention GUARANTEED Cash and prizes! This is an excellent opportunity to ride a trail most have never been on, and not drive very far for great camraderie and a chance at a payday or sweet gear. Camp rules prohibit alcohol on the premises. Please be respectful of this rule. Do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions! See you all on July 19th!
